In the women’s trio, host Germany was able to play its way up into the medal places for the first time. The player Melanie Klinke caused a sensation with a score of 1,312 points, with which she not only threw the highest score among the ladies but also in the overall competition after 6 games.

Together with her teammates Tina Linz and Sabrina Forsyth she won bronze in the trio competition.

Gold again went to the ladies from Chinese Taipei, Yao-Chien Chang, Yu-Chin Wang and Ya-Chin Lin, silver to Chan Mi Lee, Sun Ok Park and Seon Sil Heo from Korea.

Bronze was shared by the second trio team from Korea, A Young Jun, Hyoun Sook An and Seon Kyeong Choi with the German ladies.
